PARIS (Reuters) - The division optical cables submarine Alcatel-Lucent (ASN) is one of the assets in which the Strategic Investment Fund (FSI) may invest, says the newspaper Les Echos the Deputy Minister for the Digital Economy Flower Pellerin.
Agefi wrote last Thursday that the ISP could participate in the redemption of ASN, allowing the troubled telecoms equipment to recover between 600 and 700 million .
"ASN matches the types of assets in which the ISP may take a minority stake alongside other investors," said Fleur Pellerin, in an interview published Monday in The Echos.
Caisse des Dépôts (CDC), which controls 51% of the ISP, is already a shareholder in the amount of 3.6% of Alcatel-Lucent, according to data from Thomson Reuters.
Flower Pellerin also believes that the establishment of a major European OEM might make sense in the context of a market determined fragmenté.
